NEW ORLEANS--As if it weren't already painful enough for the people in Louisiana to endure the hardships of Katrina, Reggie Bush was holding out for more money. Almost immediately after signing a six year deal with the New Orleans Saints for up to sixty million dollars, Reggie Bush decided to start a new holdout, this time against Yahoo! Sports.
"My stats are very worthwhile, I feel I'll be drafted very high this year, and until I see some more money, I do not think it is right. I may not be a number one fantasy pick like LJ or Alexander, but I believe I should be paid like a number one fantasy pick," said Bush.
"I don't know if it matters that I didn't get my degree in political science, but Until Yahoo! and I reach an agreement, you're teams will be without me. No further comment," he added.
Teammate Joe Horn said "It's just business, baby. I wish it would work out and he's still a good guy, but it's just business."
Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football analyst Brandon Funston said it was ruining his Fantasy Football Big Board. "Usually I'm a nice guy, but a holdout from stats? That's like Barry Bonds not wanting his image on a baseball game. He may want to be paid like a number one fantasy pick, but the fact of the matter is, there are about 5 other running backs with more experience that are just plain better than him."
Funston confided, "Still I'd like to have his name on my big board, and I can't have it up there until he works out an agreement with Yahoo!. All except the top tennish of my big board placements are one off."
